New boutique resort Cirque St. Armands Beachside opened its doorways in Sarasota on March 25, with Gulf Coast views, a seafood-focused restaurant, and a flurry of whimsical, circus-inspired touches.

Situated close to Lido Seaside on Florida’s southwest coast, the 135-room resort is a part of the Opal Assortment, a bunch of 28 luxurious inns and resorts. Cirque St. Armands Beachside’s artwork deco and circus influences are a nod to the city’s historical past—John Ringling moved the winter headquarters of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus to Sarasota within the late Twenties. Areas are splashed with theatrical geometric tiled flooring, striped textiles, golden wall sconces, and ostrich feather chandeliers, whereas floor-to-ceiling home windows showcase ocean views.

“Cirque St. Armands Beachside’s honors Sarasota’s circus heritage with a classy, daring artwork deco-meets-roaring twenties design, reimagining the area with playful, eye-catching particulars,” the resort’s normal supervisor, Melissa Kaplan, informed Journey + Leisure. “This boutique resort is really in contrast to another property in Florida, providing elevated hospitality and unparalleled model. The vibrancy extends to Ringside, the signature restaurant, and the dazzling white sand seashores of Lido Seaside are simply steps away.”

Ringside serves dishes like smoked Gulf Coast shrimp and seafood towers towards a backdrop of velvet material, larger-than-life murals depicting trapeze artists and performers, and a striped arch ceiling that remembers a Large High tent. Halfway, the foyer bar lounge, makes a speciality of artistic cocktails (at check-in, friends are served a carnival-themed cocktail or mocktail), whereas Ringmaster is a poolside bar with ocean views.

Talking of the pool, it’s formed like a collection of three connecting circles paying homage to a three-ring circus and options an elevated solar deck. Additionally on-theme: billowy, striped personal cabanas and an al fresco gelato cart. Company even have unique entry to a 300-foot personal stretch of sand at close by sibling resort Lido Seaside Resort.

Nightly charges at Cirque St. Armands Beachside begin from $309, and you’ll e book your keep at opalcollection.com.
